Anger leads to more Anger

Ever heard the saying that fools give “full vent” to their anger, but wise people keep themselves under control!! It’s true! Anger can have physical, emotional and spiritual consequences if we don’t manage it well. Ever got angry and realised that the only person it affected the most was you, yourself???

We are often left wondering – But what do I do when faced with an angry situation? Well there is no angry situation unless your life and existence are threatened! We make ourselves angry because of the way we perceive the situation and how we choose to respond to it…

❤️ Here’s a simple technique to ‘Cage your Rage’….
*Understand what pushes your trigger buttons
*Our body starts giving us warning signs when we are beginning to get angry. Know these signs, heed the warning by becoming aware
*Don’t lash out, walk away from the situation (Time out). Respond to this situation later
*Take long deep breaths, drink a glass of water, close your eyes and catch a breather
*Now decide what action to take

❤️ If you are unable to cage your rage, take the Anger Pledge and seek forgiveness

*I promise to work on my anger in positive ways
*I promise to treat others with kindness and respect
*I promise to treat myself with kindness and respect too

Sometimes our angry outbursts can threaten our most precious relationships. A lot can be at stake if you choose to respond to a situation with a flared temper, not only do we end up hurting someone’s feelings but our own spiritual existence hangs in the balance. So think twice before you give in to rage, it can cost you everything!
